Quasi-Engineering Grade Sheet

QUASI-E carbon fibre sheet is manufactured using only genuine 100% 3k 2×2 twill carbon fibre fabric infused with epoxy resin creating a high stiffness, high strength, light weight and aesthetically pleasing material. All QUASI-E carbon fibre sheets have a glass transition temperature of 80oC i.e. maximum use temperature.

Our QUASI-E carbon fibre sheet and plate is manufactured using only genuine 100% 3k woven and bi-axial non crimp carbon fibre fabric layers, that are balanced the whole way through the thickness. The carbon fibre is infused with a Lloyd’s Approved epoxy resin creating a high stiffness, high strength, light weight and aesthetically pleasing material.

Monolithic QUASI-E carbon fibre sheet and plates offer balance mechanical performance in the 0, 90, and 45/45 directions,exhibiting quasi-isotropic behaviour.

The sheet possess a mirror like gloss finish on one side and a texture/matt finish on the other to enable optimum bonding. The gloss side of all our carbon fibre sheets are covered in a removable protective film that will help prevent marking/scratching and maintain the glossy surface finish when you’re cutting and finishing the sheet for your application.

All of our structural carbon fibre sheets have been tested for mechanical strength and stiffness in accordance with British (BS EN ISO) and American (ASTM) standards.

Cutting, Shaping & Finishing

Carbon fibre laminates can be cut with CNC routers, waterjet and manual methods with appropriate cutting tools. We recommend carbide tools, abrasive type cutters, or diamond coated tools. Our carbon fibre sheets are easily edge sanded by hand or belt sanders allowing you to trim close and sand to final dimensions for a smooth and clean edge.
